Latest Update:
10 May, 2008

Hi all,
I don't know if it is the time of year, or just what, but the nets have gotten awfully sparse again. I know that we are still having problems with the links, but it has been this way a (really) long time now.

I will not be able to run the net for four consecutive weekends in May and June. I hate to make it into a 'threat', but if interest in the net stays at its current level, I'm not going to get into a big rush to start it back up when I get back.

What this really means to me, is that we need to be filling up at least the one-hour format that I am using now. It also means that I expect one or two others to step in and help take listings for the net on the days that I have to be gone.

So pass the word around. 'Save the net' by digging through all that old junk and 'boosting the economy' by passing it around the ham community.

Feel free to send me your comments. I'd like to make this thing work, and I'm always open to other ideas as well

Northwest Saturday Morning Swapnet

This Map Shows the Net's Coverage area.
Click on the closest listed city to you, and it will open a window with repeater information.

The Northwest Saturday Morning Swap Net meets each Saturday morning at 9:30AM Pacific time, and goes until 11AM (or until there are no more listings, whichever comes first). This net is conducted as a public service to allow amateur radio operators to buy, sell or trade equipment that is related to the hobby of amateur radio. The regular Net control is Ron, N7TAW, who operates from Boring, OR, east of Portland. The net is conducted over the Evergreen Intertie. The Evergreen Intertie is a series of VHF and UHF repeaters that are capable of being tied together to provide communications over a large area of the northwest.

In addition to providing the swap service, the Saturday Morning Swap Net is a weekly test of the equipment of the Evergreen Intertie which serves to bring out any weaknesses of the system. The Evergreen Intertie system is always under construction, and always working for improvement.

The map above is intended to give a general idea of the areas covered by the Evergreen intertie.
